On this type of graphics you can analyze the time dependence of the following scalar magnitudes:
- External field
- Current Density
- Magnetization
- Maximum Residue (only static simulations)
- Energy
- Resistance

This plot provides several useful tools to customize how the output data is shown, such as zooming into a range of selected values, the ability to change the display colour of each curve and the "Take a snapshot" option.
In case of static simulations, where the target is to find the equilibrium state, external current isn't applied. Instead, the 2D plots can display a new variable, the maximum residue, and the X-axis represents the external field module applied. The following graph shows a hysteresis loop example:
